Yordano Ventura toxicology report – Payout may be void if he was intoxicated

Kansas City Royals pitcher Yordano Ventura toxicology report is due shortly as his funeral is being held in Dominic Republic today in the presence of top Royals officials and teammates. The 25-year old Ventura, who is survived by his wife, three kids and mother reportedly left behind $20 million estate.

The Royals pitcher lost his life in a fatal car crash in the Dominic Republic two days ago. There are reports that Ventura was also robbed of his precious belongings following the car crash. This is certainly a very painful thought for his fans and his family members.


Ventura who guided his team to win 2015 World Series title pitched to a 13-8 record with a 4.08 ERA and 156 strikeouts the same season.

Reports suggest that his family may face some more bitter issues before very long. This may include the payout from the Royals. Yordano Ventura’s estate is due around $20 million. Reports suggest that the pending toxicology report could affect the payout.

In a report that is certainly very disturbing for his family, Fox Sports reported, that Ventura’s guaranteed contract, which had three seasons remaining, includes a provision that will void payment for failure to perform due to injury or death resulting from driving a motorized vehicle while intoxicated. No one certainly knows about the report as yet, but his family will end up a lot disappointed if it was really the case. But there was something positive for his aggrieved family. Authorities told Royals general manager Dayton Moore that no alcohol was found at the scene.
