ViewsHeadlines Desk,

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. — Dillan Tabares was fatally shot on Friday by a Huntington Beach police officer. Now a video has been released showing the moments before the fatal shooting that eventually caused the death of the 27-year old man.

In the meantime, Dillan Tabares’ mother has claimed that her son was a military veteran with several years of experience. The shooting reportedly happened near a 7-Eleven convenience store in Huntington Beach, California. The pictures of the 27-military veteran have appeared showing him manning heavy machine gun abroad a navy ship.

Initially there was a short video clip showing the sequence of events. But later a longer video of the incident was released showing what happened before the fatal shooting.

The mobile video that can be seen here with this story, shows the moments leading up to Dillan Tabares’ death. Reports suggest that in one of two videos, the victim appears to swing at the police officer, which causes the pair to wrestle and fall to the ground. Another angle shows Tabares grabbing something from the officer’s waistband. Seconds later, the officer opens fire seven times, killing Tabares. Meanwhile Tabares’ mother has claimed that her son suffered some psychological issues, something rather not uncommon among the military and navy veterans.

In the meantime the longer version of the incident leading to the fatal shooting has sparked outrage, showing the officer — whose name has not yet been released to the public — firing at Tabares seven times until the man collapses against a wall. The video, meanwhile shows the events leading up to the shooting, depicting what appears to be a fistfight between Tabares and the uniformed officer.

In the meantime victim’s mother, Tiffany, was at the scene grieving with loved ones on Sunday evening. The aggrieved mother says “”I don’t know what happened in the very beginning. I wish I had full video of everything that happened, as painful as it is to watch. I just want to know what happened. I want to know what the truth is. I don’t have an agenda of, you know, ‘Cops are horrible.’ I respect them, I appreciate them. I just think that mistakes were made and I don’t think my kid needed to be shot seven times”.

She went on to add, “I truly, truly hope that the officer isn’t horrified by what he did, but then, I don’t know, I just hope he’s not ruined for his days too because I don’t know if you can go through something like that and not have it be extremely traumatic for him…I’m just hoping there wasn’t ill intention in it. I think there was a mistake that was made and I pretend like I’m not standing here where that happened and where he fell, and then I can keep going for a little while.” She further said that she was praying for her son and the officer.
