Vanessa MacCormack, a second grade teacher and mom was found dead in her Revere, Massachusetts home. While police talked about the signs of injuries on her body, but the officials were keeping mum on the cause of the death.
Revere Police said the woman was discovered dead Saturday afternoon with trauma marks. According to the police when the 30-year old woman was discovered at her home, she was unresponsive.
In a statement Massachusetts State Police said, “While the facts and circumstances do not immediately suggest a random incident, authorities said the investigation is still in its early stages”.
Vanessa MacCormack ‘s sister Angela Masucci, in a Facebook post asked people to respect their privacy. “As we mourn the loss of my beautiful sister we appreciate if everyone could respect our privacy and let us mourn. We do not want to answer any questions at this moment. My sister was an amazing mother, sister, daughter, friend, cousin, wife, and teacher she did not deserve this. Again, please do no ask us any questions regarding her unfortunate death. Ness, I love you and miss you more than any words could ever express. We pray for your justice” she wrote on her Facebook page.
A CBS report quoted Angela as saying, “”Words could never describe my sister. My sister was the world’s best mother, she did everything for her daughter and had so many plans for her. She never missed an opportunity to bring her places to show off her beautiful baby…She is the true definition of a family oriented person. She always held get togethers at her beautiful home , that she designed to be like a home on HGTV, and always strived to get the family together. Aside from being close to me, she also adored my brother Joe and his wife and son,” Masucci said. “She talked to them everyday and was ecstatic that her daughter had a cousin close in age to grow with. My sister had the closest relationship with my parents. Them and myself went to her house every single day because she always wanted us there; she just loved family.”
Vanessa MacCormack taught at Lynn School. While paying tribute to the 30-year old teacher, school Superintendent Dr. Catherine Latham said Lynn Schools are saddened by the news. “On behalf of Lynn Public Schools, we are profoundly saddened by the tragic death of Vanessa MacCormack, a second-grade teacher at the Connery Elementary School. Vanessa taught at Connery for five years and was in the district for seven years…She was a talented, dedicated and passionate educator and a loyal, kind and compassionate friend and colleague. We send our deepest sympathies to her family, friends and colleagues. Grief counselors will be at Connery beginning tomorrow and all of this week to assist students and staff at this most difficult time,” Latham went on to add.
Reports suggest MacCormack, who worked in Lynn’s School Department for seven years, including five at the Connery school, was found unresponsive by Revere police and emergency medical personnel arriving at her 93 Grand View Ave. home just after 3:30 Saturday afternoon, according to Jake Wark, a Suffolk district attorney spokesman.
