NEW YORK – Trump International Hotel on Columbus Circle in midtown Manhattan suffered some damage in a fire that broke out on its top floors earlier today.
News reports suggest that a fire was reported at 4:12 a.m. on an upper floor of the Trump International Hotel Friday. The hotel is owned by the new incumbent of White House, President Donald Trump.
While exact cause of the fire breakout is not known, fire department officials who rushed to the spot believe that a piece of machinery malfunctioned in an apartment under construction and that it might have ignited the fire.
The speedy action on the part of fire department ensured that the fire was contained pretty soon without any major loss to the building. It is notwithstanding the fact that a partial evacuation of the building was undertaken before the fire was brought under control at around 5:20 a.m. The fire apparently began on the 47th floor.
