Tony Romo is all set to move to broadcasting from football and no one is surprised. Latest reports suggest that the NFL star is all set to move to CBS.

Reports suggest that Tony Romo is all set to sign an agreement with one of the leading broadcasters in the US. Latest reports suggest that the NFL star is all set to be the broadcaster’s No. 1 color commentator.

Media is agog with rumors that he is all set to replace former NFL quarterback Phil Simms — alongside play-by-play veteran Jim Nantz. A ESPN report while talking about it said that while the former NFL superstar might have not signed the papers as yet, the signing of agreement is merely a formality and nothing more.

This is going to be a big opportunity in his career as the agreement will make him richer by tens of millions of dollars. Besides, it will take his broadcasting career to a new high, so early. A report in the ESPN while talking about it says, “Dallas is expected to designate Romo as a post-June 1 release, softening the blow against the Cowboys’ cap this season. Instead of counting $24.7 million against the cap in 2017, Romo would count $10.7 million this year and $8.9 million in 2018. The Cowboys would gain $14 million in cap space this season, but it would not become available until June 2. The Cowboys will carry $19.6 million in dead money for the 2017 season, $8.9 million in 2018 and $3.2 million in 2019”.

Gosselin says that the he is not worth the money and goes on to add that he is not even hall of fame worthy. Gosselin, while writing in Dallas News says, “Sixty-nine percent of the 303 Hall of Famers won championships. The selection committee, of which I am a member, seems to favor candidates with rings. That’s why the five-time NFL champion Green Bay Packers of the 1960s have 11 players enshrined. That’s why the four-time champion Pittsburgh Steelers of the 1970s and the three-time champion Cleveland Browns of the 1950s have nine players enshrined apiece”.

Tony Romo is married to Candice Crawford. The two got married in the year 2011. His networth is thought to be around $50 million.
