Tarek Fatah evicted from Jashne Rekhta in Delhi

ViewsHeadlines Desk,

During the just concluded Jashn-e-Rekhta, a three-day literary festival celebrating Urdu language, Pakistani-Canadian writer Tarek Fatah created trouble and was abused and attacked by some people.

Tarek Fatah ignited some Urdu lovers by his presence during the Urdu festival. He was jeered and called a Pakistani agent by the audience that booed him. He was forced to vacate the place. To restore law and order, the police saw it fit to suggest his removal from the place and take action against the booing audience.

This is not a unique experience for Tarek Fatah, who often faces similar disapproval from audience due to his anti-Muslim stance. Since his entry in the Indian media, he is doing everything to create communal tension in the country.

Fatah who is hosting a TV show, Fatah ka Fatwa, on Zee News, has been doing everything to create fissures in the society. He openly condemns Islam, Muslims, Muslim customs in the country and beyond.

In his popular TV network ‘Fatah ka Fatwa’, he has been blasting the Muslim clergy and criticising Islamic ideology as archaic. In 2016 a similar scheduled talk by Tarek Fateh in Kolkata was cancelled because disruption of law and order was feared. (Translated from Inquilab daily)
