ViewsHeadlines Desk,

Around 60 people have lost their lives in reckless shooting by a middle aged man identified as Stephen Paddock of Nevada. When the news of the macabre killing emerged, there was speculation as to who was the person behind this heinous crime that has taken away the lives of dozens and injured more than 500 people.

There was a speculation, and rumor mills were super active to project as a case of Muslim terrorism. But finally the rumors were laid to rest when it was finally announced that the terrorist was Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada. He is a 64-year old man who lived in an old age.

The killings at Route 91 Harvest country music festival with Jason Aldean are the worst such incident in the history of US. The organizers of the festival have said that there were more than 20,000 people at the site having a blast when the shooting started all in a sudden from nowhere.

When it comes to the motive of the crime, no one has any idea as to how this middle aged man went on to plan and successfully implemented such a bizarre shooting spree that caused the death of so many people. His brother, Eric Hudson Paddock of Orlando, Florida, said he had “no idea” why his brother committed the action. While talking to the NBC News he said, “Mars just fell into the earth…We’re completely dumbfounded…He has no political affiliation, no religious affiliation, as far as we know…Our condolences go to the victims and all their families.”

Eyewitnesses have described the scene while the shooting was taking place. Felipe Uribe, was watching the concert from the top floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel when he saw the attack take place. “We were looking at the concert down below when we saw what appeared to be fireworks”, Uribe says. “It wasn’t until later on that we realised it was actual gunshots” adds Uribe

Uribe further said people were running all over the place and “they were laying on the floor on their backs or their stomachs”. “We didn’t know at that time the shots were coming from the hotel.” Police later took Uribe and others he was with to a secure location where they had to wait for the situation to be cleared. Videos posted on social media show the crowd ducking for cover as multiple shots can be heard.

Reports claim that while there is no case against him, his father was a proclaimed offender and committed many crimes decades ago. reports suggest that his father who was on FBI’s most wanted list for years robbed banks in the 1960s and 1970s and escaped from federal custody on Dec. 31, 1968 and was declared a fugitive. According to the FBI, his father was “diagnosed as a psychopathic, has carried firearms in commission of bank robberies” and “reportedly has suicidal tendencies and should be considered armed and very dangerous.”

His father reportedly had many aliases including Perry Archer, Benjamin J. Butler, Leo Genstein, Pat Paddock and Patrick Benjamin Paddock – remained on the loose until 1978 when he was apprehended in Oregon where he was running a bingo parlor.

Paddock, who according to his brother was a millionaire, worked for Lockheed Martin, top defense contractor in the US. “Stephen Paddock worked for a predecessor company of Lockheed Martin from 1985 until 1988…We’re cooperating with authorities to answer questions they may have about Mr. Paddock and his time with the company”, a company statement said. Stephen Paddock had no Facebook page and was not active on social media. Meanwhile Las Vegas uncut video search is going viral.
