FARGO, N.D. – The body of the 22-year old missing woman who was eight month pregnant when she went missing has been found. Authorities claim that her body was retrieved from a river Sunday evening.
Authorities in Fargo, North Dakota, said that they are sure about the claim and there was no doubt about the identity of the woman whose body was fished out from the river.
While addressing a press conference Fargo Police Chief David Todd said that the body of the woman has been discovered and added that it was wrapped in a plastic. The police chief said that the body was first seen by kayakers who notified authorities.
He further said that a farmstead was also being searched by sleuths and added that many suspicious things have been found there to lend credence that the place may be a crime scene.
Officials also said that water rescue crews were able to get the body out of the water about 8:00 Sunday night. Latest reports suggest that the body has been sent to Ramsey County in Minnesota for an autopsy.
The frantic search for the woman has been underway for the last more than a week. She has been missing since August 19th. Till now two people, Brooke Lynn Crews and William Henry Hoehn, have been arrested, charged with conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
