Sasikala Nataraja latest news –Supreme Court asks her to surrender today

ViewsHeadlines Desk,

Chennai: Suspense in Tamil Nadu politics is continuing as there is no clarity as to who is going to be called to form the government. Sasikala Natarajan faction that commands the support of around 125 MLAs hasn’t seen any sign of weakening till now and all the MLAs are solidly behind her and her chosen legislature party leader, R Palaniswami.

Governor has kept the suspense over the issue of inviting either R Palaniswami or Panneerselvam till now. There is no denying that Sasikala camp has shown that whether the AIADMK General Secretary is around or not, the flock is going to stick together.

In the drama that is continuing for more than a week now, the flock never gave any sign of disintegration. It is notwithstanding the fact that every tool was used to discourage and threaten them.

In the meantime reports suggest that Sasikala Natrajan re-inducted relatives Dinakaran and Venkatesh into the party on Wednesday, years after they were expelled by late chief minister J Jayalalitha. Sasikala’s move is being as a last-ditch attempt to hurt chief minister O Panneerselvam, who was expelled on Tuesday. MLAs in her camp are sure that Panneerselvam is a stooge who is doing someone else’s bidding.

In the meantime reports coming from New Delhi suggest that Sasikala has to surrender today. While appearing on behalf of Sasikala in Supreme Court, senior advocate KTS Tulsi was not allowed to complete his sentence. The SC told him that Sasikala will have to immediately surrender. Earlier Sasikala appealed for two weeks time to surrender in a Bengaluru court. Her plea for four weeks time to surrender in the apex court rejected.
