Sara Kathryn D’Spain, Texas teacher accused of relationship with student released on $35,000 bond

Sara Kathryn D’Spain is the latest teacher who has been accused of inappropriate relationship with student. She is under investigation for the misconduct and being in an improper relationship with a student in the school where she is teaching. The teacher has been arrested and an investigation is underway in this regard.

Sara Kathryn D’Spain teaches at a high school in Texas. Reports suggest that the woman is one of two teachers in Kerrville who have been under investigative agencies’ lenses for developing physical relations with a student of her school. Sara Kathryn D’Spain taught at Tivy High School in Kerrville.

In the meantime reports claim that the woman has been released from jail after posting a $35,000 bond. Earlier the disgraced teacher placed on administrative leave.

Despite the fact that the teacher-student relationship is serious criminal offence, there is a huge spurt in such cases. In Texas there were as many as 300 cases reported to the police. The number of the cases that never came to the light may be many times higher.

In the meantime, Kerrville police said D’Spain’s arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into two instances of educators at the district having relationships with students.

While talking about the case, Superintendent Mark J. Foust said, “These allegations are of behaviors that will not be tolerated in our school district and that are not indicative of our faculty and staff”.

Sara Kathryn D’Spain seems to be a well-qualified teacher. According to online State Board for Educator Certification records, the accused teacher is certified to teach pre-kindergarten through 8th grade students. Besides, Sara Kathryn D’Spain is a certified English as a Second Language teacher as well.
