Lucknow: Saffron organisations are after Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan and they are looking for him in earnest. The Saffron organisations in Lucknow put up posters all over the city on Wednesday that spoke against him, demanding Chief Minister Aditya Nath to arrest the all powerful former minister in Akhilesh Yadav government.
The posters had Azam Khan’s picture and read, “Desh ekta or akhandta todne wa sena ko gali dene wale desh ke ghaddaron ko girftar karo (arrest the traitor who breaks the unity of the country and bad mouths the army) – Hindu Shakti Sena (HSS)”
A case has been filed against Azam Khan for making controversial remarks about the Indian Army. Hindu Shakti Sena, a newly observed right wing organization is leading the movement to have him arrested.
According to sources, the appearance of these posters overnight left the people very surprised and became a heated topic of debate in the city. Even after this, the police is silent on the matter.
HSS head said that if a big leader like Azam Khan makes such unsavory remarks about the army it is certainly very disheartening for the army. He also declared the threat openly that if there is a delay in his arrest he would expand this movement in other places in the state. The Hindu Mahasabha has also announced that it would surround Jauhar University in Rampur.
