A teenager reportedly killed her own sister in a state of drunk driving crash and live streamed the entire sequence on Instagram. The incident happened in California. Besides killing her own sister in drunk driving crash she also injured another teenager in the car.
The girl, who has been identified as 18-year old Obdulia Sanchez was driving perfectly fine, when all in a sudden everything went upside down, the crash happened and then her clearly audible outburst that was being relayed live in the Instagram video.
A woman who incidentally watched the video live recorded it and put it online for everyone to see later. Reports suggest that the incident happened in Los Banos, California on July 21. The fatal crash caused the death of her 14 year old sister, identified as Jacqueline, all of 14 years. The other girl, also sitting in the car suffered severe injuries, but thankfully the injuries were non life-threatening.
Police said that the girl filmed herself at the wheel while her sister Jacqueline and a pal, 14, sat in the back on Friday, police said. The video shows Obdulia losing control of the car and smashing into barbed wire on Highway 165.
Obdulia Sanchez was later seen shaking her sister’s lifeless body, saying: “I killed my sister, but I don’t care…I killed my sister. I know I’m going to prison, but I don’t care. I’m sorry baby.”
Sheriff Vern Warnke told the media that the girl who lost her life in the freak accident was unseatbelted. “She was in the back seat of the vehicle and allegedly unseatbelted, and upon the vehicle rolling over, it ejected her and killed her,” said the Sheriff.
Reports suggest that Sanchez is accused of manslaughter and driving under the influence
Mary Hernandez, who watched the incident livestream said, “At first we didn’t even want to believe it was real…I recorded it and posted it mainly because as someone who uses Snapchat I see a lot of people driving with their Snapchats doing what she was doing so to me it was like an eye opener.”

A report in The Fresno Bee said that the girl is accused of over correcting a turn. “The driver over-corrected the turn, which caused the vehicle to swerve across both lanes, crashing through a wire fence and overturning into a field south of the road,” the newspaper reported. The 14-year old Jacqueline Sanchez of Stockton, was all set to celebrate her Quinceanera Sunday.” On the other hand the 18 year old sister Sanchez is expected to face the music. An Associated Press report said, “Obdulia Sanchez was booked into the Merced County Jail on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter after Friday’s crash north of Los Banos”.
