New Delhi: The new income tax form has finally been made public. From tomorrow onwards, you will have to file your income tax by filing this form, either offline or online. A number of experts are of the view that the new form is much easier to file and submit.
This is the new Income tax return form for the salaried people. Its introduction will make the life much easier for salaried individuals as the new ITR forms are easy to file and manage.
If you work on a salary or depend on the income accrued from interest coming from bank or other institutions, you will have much less to worry in the coming days. With less columns to fill, the new form will be less time consuming to fill and submit. But there may be other things that you may find rather worrying. This include the submission of your Aadhar card details with the new ITR form.
Before you get down to filling the form, that may still take the breathe of many common people away, you will have to register yourself on the income tax department’s tax filing website. If you are done with this part, you will have to fill in your PAN card, Aadhaar number and other details. From this coming July, it will be mandatory for everyone to give his or her Aadhaar number following the Finance Bill 2017.
As soon as your details are filled in along with all other necessary information besides information on taxes paid, your TDS will be auto-filled. If you want to fill the form, you can download a soft copy and fill it electronically. Else, you can fill the form online itself. One thing that must be kept in mind is the fact that the form has to be submitted along with documents required for IT returns filing (Form 16, etc.).
As soon as you have submitted the ITR form along with details, a message will be received confirming the receipt of your income tax returns form. Many people aren’t able to do it on their own and depend on tax consultants to do it.
