Now the Indian government should respond in kind and the perpetrators of this cowardly act shouldn’t go unpunished”, the cleric said.

The religious leader said that the government of India should show that such acts of terrorism inside the nation will not go unpunished. He also demanded thorough enquiry in the attack and to fix the responsibility in this regard.

kashmirArshad Madani who heads the biggest Muslim religious and social organization in India asked Pakistan to immediately shut down terrorist camps within its borders. He also asked the Pakistani leaders not to shelter anti-India elements or support them.

The Maulana supported Indian government’s decision to try and isolate Pakistan in international forums.

He also asked the government to make serious efforts to normalize the situation in Kashmir. “Kashmir is suffering from a very serious condition. For the last two months the condition has gone from bad to worse. Now it is time for the government to change its strategy and make a concerted effort to bring all the stakeholders to the discussion table. The only feasible route is through talk and dialogue”, the maulana went on to add. (translated from Inquilab)
