New York City: Indian-American man, 26 year old Ram Jayakumar who was missing for the last more than a week, has been found dead. Media reports suggest that his body was found floating in Boston’s Charles River.
The intense search for the graduate of the Brown University was on for the last more than a week. The Lexington resident had gone missing on May 11 when he told his parents that he will be back within an hour.
Later he was seen parking his car at a busy Boston thoroughfate. Ram Jayakumar worked at Oracle.
Meanwhile Boston police haven’t confirmed the report of his death in a river in Boston. “At this time, we don’t have any information,” said a Lexington Policewoman.
A report in the IndiaNewEngland claims that that the slightly built man’s body was discovered in Boston’s Charles River near the Boston University Bridge and Massachusetts Avenue. Boston police also declined to provide any information and referred to Massachusetts State Police.
Lexington Police in a statement, a few days ago had said, “On Friday May 12, 2017 the parents of Ram Jayakumar contacted the Lexington Police to report their son missing”. Police have asked people to come forward in case they come to know anything about him. Police have Ram as of Indian descent, who has black hair, is 5’6″ tall and weighs 120 pounds (54 kg). He graduated from Brown University in Providence, Richmond. Police while asking people to come forward with info said, “Ram wears glasses and was last seen with a blue backpack. He left home in Lexington on May 11 at 7.15 p.m. in his car and informed his parents that he would be back in an hour but did not return”.
