Missing Alexandria, Minn., teen Jasmine Block returns home a month after being kidnapped.

A 15-year-old girl who was missing for almost a month has been reunited with her mother. Jasmine Block, who had gone missing from her home in Alexandria, Minn., on Aug. 8 has come back to her home. She was abducted and held hostage by three men in their thirties.

When after 29 days, they lowered their guard for the first time and went to bring food together, she took the opportunity as godsend, swimming across a lake and seeking help from a farmer.

Reports suggest that the girl was kept confined to a foreclosed home for almost a month. Reports suggest that Jasmine Block was regularly assaulted and threatened with weapons some 200 miles away from her home.

According to Alexandria Police Chief Rick Wyffels three people have been arrested for the criminal confinement and intimidation of an underage girl. The three have been identified as Thomas Barker, 32, Joshua Holby, 31, and Steven Powers, 20.

At a press conference yesterday, Alexandria Police Chief Rick Wyffels said that the girl was kidnapped by a family friend, held against her will and repeatedly assaulted by three men for several weeks. She was reunited with her family on Tuesday.

Reports suggest that on Aug. 8, Thomas Barker, who seem to be the main conspirator and a family friend of the girl met her outside her home around 11 p.m. and asked for her help with a family situation. As the girl knew he she went with him in his vehicle. After taking her home in Carlosthe man tied her with zip ties, assaulted her and threatened her with weapons.

The police chief said, “[Barker] tricked her by saying he would like her to come help with a family situation and Jasmine was already familiar with the other family members who do not live with him in that neighborhood…She’s thinking he’s trusting and honest, she goes ‘I’ll just go with you right now.’ So she gets in the car, except he takes her to Carlos and ties her up.” The police chief said that on many occasions the girl was pushed into a closet.

The child was repeatedly physically and sexually assaulted by him, his roommate and one of his friends. The girl was reunited with her mother Sarah Block, who thanked supporters on a Facebook and posted a photograph of herself reunited with her daughter.
