If reports are to be believed, Spanish national football player and Borussia Dortmund defender, Marc Bartra, has been injured in a blast that reportedly happened on the team bus on which he was travelling. A CBS report claims that the soccer star player who plays for the Spanish national team besides Borussia Dortmund has been taken to hospital.
Authorities claim that there were three blasts that hit the area one after the other. He was injured in a blast that went off near team bus ahead of Champions League home match against Monaco in city of Dortmund.
Authorities claim that the blasts shook the area as the team was on its way to Tuesday’s Champions League quarterfinal first-leg match against French club Monaco.
In a Twitter update on the team’s official handle, Borussia Dortmund told its massive fan base that Marc Bartra had been taken to hospital for treatment. Hans-Joachim Watzke, Borussia Dortmund’s CEO, said Bartra had injured his hand.
He went on to add, “The whole team is in a state of shock, you can’t get pictures like that out of your head”.

Windows were smashed and Marc Bartra suffered cuts in his hands from the glass.
