Malayalam actress kidnapped in Kochi, rape confirmed in medical examination
Kochi: Two more accused have been arrested on charges of kidnapping and molesting of a top Malayalam actress. The criminal assault of the award winning actor continued for two hours in a moving car.

While the driver of the car in which the actress was travelling was arrested, police officials claim that they have arrested two more accused in the case.
Police had confirmed the arrest of the main accused in the molestation case whose name is being mentioned as Sunil Kumar. He was employed by the actress as her driver until recently. The incident happened on Friday night, while she was on her way from Thrissur to Kochi, the car in which the actress was travelling was rammed from behind by a van.
Later, on the pretext of fighting with the driver of the car, the four persons allegedly forced their way into the car and drove away with the actress. For nearly two hours the actress was molested and photographed inside the moving car. There are reports that they filmed the whole incident on the camera while the actress was being humiliated and groped.
There are reports that the actress was raped and that medical examination has confirmed the rape too.
Meanwhile IG of Police while talking to the media said, “The assailants forcibly took her photographs. Two of the four men in the car are drivers who work in the film industry and she was familiar with them. One of them, Sunil, has a criminal record and was her driver until recently. Their motive seems to have been to fleece money from the actress by blackmailing her with the photographs.’’
In the meantime chief minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan, said that said stringent action would be taken against those involved in the harassment of an actress near here and none would be allowed to escape. In a Facebook post he said, “Not a single culprit involved in the incident would be allowed to escape…Police is after the accused. The culprits have been identified”. Vijayan said the culprits would be brought to book at any cost and warned those indulging in this kind of activities of stringent action.
