Lonzo Ball is among the most sought after youth in the NBA these days. The 19-year old, 6.6 tall, Ball, has impressed almost everyone with his dexterity with the ball in the last couple of years.
There is no denying the fact that everyone expects the UCLA freshman point guard to become a future basketball great. The way he is playing recently and the consistency and dexterity he has shown is simply awe-inspiring.
Everyone is pretty sure that the lanky player is destined to move to the big league of players. Now as he has announced that he will enter the NBA draft, everyone is expecting some great announcement from him and his future team pretty soon.
He acts and feels much older than his just 19-years of age. “That was my final game for UCLA…I appreciate all the fans and all the support” he said after UCLA was eliminated from the tournament. The USA Today National Freshman of the Year, ball is all set to be a top-three pick in the draft after averaging 14.7 points, 7.6 assists and 6.1 rebounds this season.
He goes on to add, “I didn’t make enough plays for my team…Put that one on me…This is a family, we’ll be together for life…The relationships I built – you can’t touch that.” Coach Steve Alford said “I’ve said it from day one – in my mind, he’s the No. 1 draft pick…The way he can orchestrate a team is just phenomenal, so one night where things didn’t click I don’t think is going to change anything…He was just the absolute perfect individual to coach and you don’t see that a lot in the one-and-done era,” Alford said. “Never had a bad practice, never showed up just to put in time. He worked, he worked on his game, he watched film with us, he took care of his body.”
In the meantime his girlfriend Denise Garcia is also hogging all the limelight. Reports suggest that she is a soccer player at UC Riverside. Reports suggest that the two attended Chino Hills High School.
A report in the UC Riverside says that Garcia was a four-year starter and team captain from 2012-14 at Chino Hills. The report goes on to add that it is college football not basketball that is her passion when she is not studying to be an anesthetist. Something tells us she makes time to catch Ball’s UCLA games.
