Forty-one is not an age when you expect someone with fame and millions of fame to say goodbye to this world. But we are seeing with trepidation a number of people leaving the world behind at such young age.
If reports are to be believed, LINKIN PARK frontman Chester Bennington has died. A report in TMZ claims that he committed suicide. He was 41 years old.
While the news of his death has been confirmed by authorities, Chester Bennington’s cause of death is yet to be confirmed. But as TMZ has been true about revealing details, we expect the report to be true indeed.
According to details, the singer allegedly ended his life by hanging at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in Los Angeles County.
Born in the year 1976, Chester Charles Bennington was also the lead singer for Dead by Sunrise and fronted Stone Temple Pilots from 2013 to 2015.
Though he came in limelight rather late, when he was in mid twenties, but once he made it to the top, he never looked back. The singer first gained prominence as a vocalist following the release of Linkin Park’s debut album, Hybrid Theory, in 2000, which became a commercial success. The album was certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America in 2005, making it the best-selling debut album of the decade, as well as one of the few albums to ever hit that many sales.
It was just the magical beginning that he needed. Linkin Park’s following studio albums, Meteora (2003), Minutes to Midnight (2007), A Thousand Suns (2010), Living Things (2012), and The Hunting Party (2014), continued to hit the gold, one after the other. If the success in the wake of Linkin Park was not enough, Bennington formed his own band, Dead by Sunrise, as a side project in 2005.
His premature death has shocked the entire industry. TV show host Jimmy Kimmel tweeted earlier today that Bennington was one of the kindest people he’s had on his show. LACUNA COIL singer Cristina Scabbia wrote that she was at a “loss for words,” adding, “why, why, why.” SKILLET’s John Cooper tweeted: “Absolutely no words. Speechless and so sad. I am such a fan.”
Bennington married twice, first to Samantha Marie Olit and then to Bentley. He married Olit in 1996. They had one child together, Draven Sebastian Bennington. His relationship with his first wife declined during his early years with Linkin Park, and they divorced in 2005. After divorcing his first wife, Bennington married Talinda Ann Bentley, a former Playboy model, with whom he had three children: Tyler Lee Bennington and twins Lilly and Lila.
