Laura Loomer & Jack Posobiec brought the performance of “Julius Caesar” to a standstill Friday in New York. The two loudly protested against the performance and created ruckus as the play was underway. The two were later forcibly removed by law enforcement officers from the scene.
The woman was the first to storm the stage while the play was underway. She shouted slogans against the play and the organizers and said that the controversial play actually portrays violence against President Donald Trump. But she must have felt disappointed as instead of any support from the crowd, there were boos all around. She was forcibly removed from the stage by alert security officials.
But that was not the end of it. While Laura Loomer was being removed from the crowd, he accomplice, Jack Posobiec stood and started shouting, trying to disrupt the play. He said that the audience were supporters and members of Nazis who were inciting terrorism against President Trump.
It became immediately clear that the two had come together and wanted to disrupt the popular play. The two were protesting the play because it’s a modern-day portrayal of the Roman Empire and ends with the death of a character resembling Trump. The main character, Caesar, is played by the Trump look-alike. At the end of it, Caesar is stabbed and killed by a group of senators that conspired.
The two have other supporters as well and are not working alone. After Loomer was taken out by security at the theater, Posobiec said that she was arrested and charged with trespassing. She was being held at a Central Park jail and was released hours later. Posobiec and Loomer held a joint press conference to discuss the matter shortly after.
To help pay for Loomer’s legal defense, the media Conservative outlet they both work for — The Rebel — set up a page on its we website called FreeLaura.com to take contributions from around the world. A legal defense fund campaign was also set up on WeSearchr, and it raised almost $5,000 in less than three hours.
The two are known as rabble rousers and people with extremist tendencies among their friend circle. Loomer and Posobiec are described as being right-wing journalists and activists. The Rebel produces different forms of Conservative media such as news articles, opinion pieces and activism. Posobiec’s biography says that he’s a writer, a filmmaker and a “recovering” political operative. Loomer’s biography lists her specialties as investigative reporting and activism. According to her bio, she’s Jewish and her past investigations have “uncovered fraud and corruption within the Hillary Clinton campaign, Islamic extremism on college campuses, flaws and loopholes within the U.S. immigration system and widespread voter fraud.”
