Karachi: A powerful bomb, detonated by a suicide bomber has killed scores of people and injured many others. The initial reports suggested that 30 people were killed. Later the death toll was revised to 50.
Now latest reports from Sewan, reverently called Sewan Sharif suggest that the death toll may be much more. A report said that the death toll crossed 70 mark and there are fears that it may go up further.
Lal Shahbaz Qalander dargah is a massive sufi shrine. It is very beautifully built and is taken care well by the management of the dargah. It attracts thousands of people daily from around the world.
Pakistani Army has deployed its helicopters and trasport planes to ferry the injured to Karachi and Islamabad from the nearest airport. Pakistan army Chief Gen. Qamar Bajwa has directed Army to move to the location to carry out rescue operation.Rescue teams have also reached at the location.
