At least five people have been killed in an Industrial area close to Orlando. The shooter, identified later by the police as John Robert Neumann Jr committed suicide after killing five people in cold blooded manner
Authorities have said that the man behind the massacre was a disgruntled employee of the company where he went on rampage, killing innocent people and then shooting himself dead. Officials claim that merely three years ago, the same employee was behind some work place violence in Orlando, Florida.
Authorities have said that the man behind the carnage killed his former coworkers in coldblooded manner, before shooting himself too. The incident reportedly happened at Fiamma, which is part of an Italian company that manufactures awnings and accessories for RVs.
Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings, while talking about the unprovoked carnage by the killer said that people were shot from very close quarters. He said that most of the victims had gunshot wounds to their heads while others have multiple gunshot wounds.
Authorities claim that the shooting was reported Monday at around 8:03 a.m. Deputies arrived minutes later to find three men and one woman dead, Demings said. A fifth person, a man, was taken to a hospital where he died, Demings said.
A report in Orlando Sentinal, while quoting one of his neighbors said that the company had fired him in April and the suspect was having a really tough time with i. the report goes on to add that he didn’t have a drivers license and biked to work nearly every day
A report confirms that he was a US Army veteran. Neumann, a veteran who was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1999, had a “troubled” home life when he was a child, childhood friend Jayson Savage said…I know his stint in the service was good for him when I spoke to him about it,” said Savage, adding they both attended Lake Brantley High School. Savage said he hadn’t talked to his old friend for a while, but they recently reconnected and Neumann asked for advice about a business he was trying to get off the ground.
Officials have released the identities of the Orlando shooting victims. They have been identified as Robert Snyder, 69; Brenda Montanez-Crespo, 44; Kevin Clark, 53; Jeffrey Roberts, 57; Kevin Lawson, 46.
