Los Angeles: WWE Commentator Jim Ross’ wife Jan Ross has reportedly died following a fatal accident. The news was announced by Jim Ross through a tweet on micro blogging site Twitter.
The massively built Jim Ross who is 6 feet in height and weighs more than 150 kg told his huge fan base about the death of his wife saying “My little Angel is gone.”
He also told the world that his wife’s last rites were conducted by a priest. “A Priest gave my wife Jan her last rites tonight” his tweet said.
Jim Ross’ WWE commentary career started rather very early. Immediately after coming out of the college he got a sideline job as a commentator. He has worked with top organizations of the industry and currently works for Fox Sports, where he writes commentary on professional wrestling for Foxsports.com and occasionally does play-by-play for boxing and mixed martial arts. Ross has also won all-round praise as the lead announcer for New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS TV.
A report in the TMZ said that Jim Ross was married to his wife Jan for close to a quarter of a century. She was a flight attendant, and Jim met her while on a plane during his travels with WCW. While writing on his website Ross said, “She loved the talents and their spouses, invited them into our home, cooked for them and even did some of their laundry that they would bring over…Some of the Attitude Era’s biggest stars were made to feel welcome in our home over the years thanks to my wife.”
TMZ report says, “Ross — who married Jim in 1993 — was riding her Vespa home from the gym Monday night in Oklahoma when she was struck from behind by a vehicle. She was not wearing a helmet. Ross sustained a serious brain injury and multiple skull fractures…Police in Norman, OK are still investigating the accident.”
