NYC: iPhone 8 seems to be everywhere, almost. While the launch of the forthcoming Apple baby is still months away, the enthusiasm surrounding it may give an impression that it is coming next week.
Reports doing the rounds suggest that iPhone fans can expect a complete metamorphosis of sorts when it comes to the feel and look of the handset. A report in the Wall Street Journal suggests that the Apple fans should expect a change in iPhone design. If this is true, then Apple CEO, Tim Cook, seems to be coming of age.
Till now, except the size of the handsets, nothing much had changed with Apple’s iconic smartphones. With the proposed changes in the handset(s), it will be Tim Cook stamp on iPhone. Till now, Cook seemed to be heavily influenced by Apple cofounder Steve Jobs and toed his line religiously.
Things are looking very exciting for iPhone fans. There are reports that Apple may launch iPhone 8 with unprecedented changes as a gift to its fans as the tenth year reward on iPhone’s tenth anniversary.
A report in the PCMag has this to say, “If Apple is true to form, then around September this year we will get S variants of the iPhone 7$649.99 at T-Mobile and 7 Plus$769.99 at T-Mobile. But apparently we are also going to get an iPhone 8 sitting at the high end of the line-up as a way of celebrating the iPhone’s 10th Anniversary. But this is no ordinary iPhone”.
Another report in 9to5Mac says that the changes are simply unprecedented as the new iPhone is expected to come with curved display. The Cupertino based tech giant is thought to be ditching its proprietary Lightning port and instead using USB-C. While such a move will be welcomed, it suggests investing in any accessories that ship with a Lightning connection as standard would be unwise right now. It also begs the question of whether the iPhone 7S and 7S Plus will also make the switch to USB-C.
