Indian Americans seem to be living in constant fear for the last several months. While hate crimes have gone up following change of leadership in White House, Indian Americans who are among the wealthiest communities in the US have become a common target. This month alone as many as four people have been killed in different parts of the US, with one Indian salesman in a grocery store being killed for refusing to sell cigarette without seeing the ID proof of the buyer.
Reports suggest that the man parked his car on Deerfield Street in Boston last week and has not been seen since then, said police officials. Worried parents of the youth later contacted the police to report that their son was missing, India New England News reported on Tuesday.
The authorities have described the man as of Indian descent, who has black hair, is 5’6″ tall and weighs 120 pounds (54 kg). He graduated from Brown University in Providence, Richmond.
Police while asking people to come forward with info said, “Ram wears glasses and was last seen with a blue backpack. He left home in Lexington on May 11 at 7.15 p.m. in his car and informed his parents that he would be back in an hour but did not return”. Anyone with information is asked to call Lexington police at 781-862-1212.
