England XI won the toss and elected to bat
India A vs England XI second warm-up match has become all the more important after the first warm up match drubbing that India got. Despite scoring good runs, English bowlers were able to beat India without much of a problem.
Dhoni scored well for his side in the last match as the captain of the Indian cricket team. He scored 68 runs. But he was not the only performer with the bat from his side. Shekhar Dhawan scored 63 runs off 84 balls while AT Rayudu scored 100 runs of just 97 balls. Yuvraj Singh who has been recalled for the England tour scored 56 balls.
In the second warm-up match India A will take on England XI in the second and final warm-up match on Wednesday where the visitors will look to gain more momentum before the ODI series.
There is no denying that the Indian cricket team was determined to win the last match to give a warm sendoff to Dhoni as captain. Now the second warm-up will be played in Mumbai and begins at 9 am IST. It will be the first match for Kohli as regular captain of Indian ODI team.
There is no denying that India will not lose the face if they lose the second match too. You have to say that England have everything to lose because they are expected to beat a bunch of young players. If they win, they may not get enough credit. If they lose, they may get panned.
