‘I know what Islam says’ claims Mohammad Shami over his wife’s dress controversy

ViewsHeadlines desk,

Mumbai: Infuriated over attack on him and his wife for his wife’s dress, top Indian pacer Mohammed Shami says he knows well what Islam says about it. In response to the all-round attack against his wife’s clothes, from conservative Muslims in the country, he released another picture of his wife in similarly ‘revealing’ clothes on the New Year eve.

The Indian pacer who has been suffering from repeated bouts of injuries and has spent last several months recuperating was attacked on the dressing sense of his wife.

Some conservative Muslims have attacked the couple for wearing ‘un-Islamic’ clothes in the public and said it was against the teachings of the religion.

The ‘repeat’ offence by the cricketer in the form of the release of another picture will certainly not go down well in the eyes of the same conservative sections of the Muslim society.

The 26-year old Indian pacer who represents Bengal in domestic cricket hails from Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district. He is a right-arm fast-medium swing and seam bowler, who bowls consistently around the 140kmph mark, which makes him a deceptively potent fast bowler. He is among the very few reverse swing specialists not just in the country but around the world.

He has played 22 test matches and 47 one day internationals and has taken 76 and 87 wickets in both the formats of the game respectively.
