Officials claim that George Brinkman, who is suspected to have killed a mother and his two daughters in Ohio is in a standoff with police at a home in Brunswick. The 45-year old man has been identified by WOIO-TV as the man who has barricaded himself near Valley Forge Road house.
The man is said to be behind the chilling triple deaths Suzanne Taylor, 45, and her daughters, Taylor Pifer, 21, and Kylie Pifer, 18. The three women were found murdered by Taylor Pifer’s boyfriend.
The standoff with the police has been continuing for the last several hours and reports suggest that the man is threatening suicide while drinking whiskey and waving a handgun at officers. A Daily Mail report news claims that the police officers were negotiating with the suspect.
Latest updates from the spot suggest that SWAT officers, including snipers have been deployed. SWAT snipers are reported to have surrounded the house where George Brinkman has taken refuge and from where he is reportedly negotiating with the police officers.
In the meantime as far as the macabre killing of the three women is concerned, North Royalton Police have not publicly identified anyone as a suspect till now. They are working to determine the killer and have spoken to multiple people. Reports suggest that Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations and the FBI are assisting in the investigation. A motive has not also been made public.
The mother and her two grown up daughters were reportedly discovered inside Taylor’s 11489 Ridge Road home on Sunday after they were discovered by Taylor Pifer’s boyfriend, who called Suzanne Taylor’s boyfriend, who then called 911, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
The elderly woman’s boyfriend in the 911 call said, “My girlfriend’s daughter’s boyfriend is in the house…They didn’t answer the door. He picked the lock and went in and he said the bedroom door was closed and he opened the door and he said, ‘There’s a body in here.’”
He went on to add, “He called me earlier and said, ‘Hey, something’s wrong, because all the cars are here and the door is locked and I don’t hear the dog.”
In the meantime a report suggests that unlike initial reports that the three women were shot dead, the mother was stabbed to death. Authorities initially said the women died from gunshot wounds but, after further investigation, North Royalton police told News 5 it appears that the mother suffered stab wounds. A knife has not yet been recovered. As for the two daughters, police said their injuries were not obvious.
