Gegard Mousasi vs. Chris Weidman fight had ignited a lot of interest among UFC and MMA fans. People thought that it was going to be one of the most hard fought fights in a long, long time. They had reasons to believe as both the fighters come with great history.
But if you thought if there was the possibility of a monumental fiasco, nothing could get bigger than this.
The middleweight co-main event of UFC 210 between Gegard Mousasi vs. Chris Weidman was taking place between a former champ and a rising star. Mousasi, whose stock seems to be on the rise recently was expected to do well and was slightly ahead of his opponents in the betting market. But the actual fight that took place Saturday at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, N.Y. made people scratch their head in frustration and boo both the fighters.
Initially it was the more experienced Weidman, who came up with multiple takedowns on an off-looking Mousasi. To be true, he got tagged once or twice by Weidman. To Mousasi’s credit, however, he defended quite well on the mat and got back to his feet rather quickly.
Things started moving in favor of the Dutch MMA player, Mousasi, from the second round as he started landing more power shots, and mid-way through the second round, he landed two knees to a dazed Weidman. There were questions raised about the legality of knees as the referee separated the two. Later the bout was called off after a long period of confusion and declared a TKO victory for Mousasi.
In the meantime, many people are trying to find more about his beautiful Gegard Mousasi’s beautiful girlfriend Cindy Dandois.
There is no denying that 32-year old female fighter is exceptionally beautiful. But looks can be deception and it certainly cannot be more deceptive than this. If you thought her to be a hapless blonde, you are certainly mistaken as the girl from Belgium, is also an MMA fighter. Just like Gegard, she also initially took up martial arts for health benefits, but later discovered a natural ability to fight and compete.
Within months she developed into a fearsome MMA fighter who cannot just fight but also beat the best of the best. After merely five months of training, she had her first fight with her very first opponent: WMMA legend Marloes Coenen. Securing a shocking win, Dandois has continued to face high level MMA competition ever since. Known by her nickname “Battlecat,” Dandois is also a loving mother of three beautiful children. She gave birth to her youngest child Nafi in October 2011.
M-1 Global’s Apy Echteld while talking about her talent said,”Cindy has incredible talent and the potential to become a dominant force in woman’s MMA. The future is very bright for her…Cindy is a role-model for woman’s MMA. She can juggle her professional fighting, her job as a school teacher and being a mother. That’s a daunting task. And she’s a beautiful woman who is open and honest. Still early in her MMA career, Cindy has the potential to reach unparalleled heights and we look forward to standing beside her along the way.”
