New Delhi: Being the ruling party in all the three corporations of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), BJP is trying to ensure that it gets back to the three corporations as the winner. While it is a tall order, the saffron party is working hard to ensure that it succeeds where many parties fail.
This is the reason that the BJP’s wily chief minister is planning the entire election strategy of the party in MCD polls 2017 despite being a very local affair. The party, apparently doesn’t want to end up on the losing side.
The involvement of the national president of the BJP chief is such that he has apparently decided not just the party’s manifesto in the national capital region of Delhi, but also the candidates in different wards, in consultation with the Delhi state party leadership.
There is no denying that Amit Shah is a shrewd politician and a very good poll strategist. If he is investing so much resources and time in the election, he is going to open up the party coffers to win the election. Already there are signs that the party is attracting Aam Aadmi Party’s disgruntled MLAs to its fold. The surge is apparent. But will it be enough to win the three corporations in delhi si not really clear.
Earlier talking to the media about the party’s campaign strategy in Delhi, its state chief Manoj Tiwari said, “We thought of including the Rs 97 crore advertising scam or the 200 bigha land scam. But we realised there is no point in bringing up these issues as people already know about them. Instead, we decided to focus on issues faced by people and going door-to-door to be in touch with voters,” he said. Tiwari added that he spent the night at a studio in east Delhi to record the song.
