BOULDER, Colo. – 19-year old son of the beleaguered former Fox News host Eric Bolling is dead. The death of teenager has shocked not just the family and friends, but almost anyone and everyone.
In a statement on Twitter, the bereaved father said that he and his wife Adrienne were devastated by the sudden death of their son, Eric Chase Bolling. The junior Bolling was reportedly a freshman at the University of Colorado in Boulder.
The teenager reportedly passed away Friday night. The former Fox News host said that when it came to Eric Chase Bolling cause of death, there was “no sign of self harm at this point” and that an autopsy was planned next week.
In a tweet, the newsperson said, “Adrienne and I are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Eric Chase last night. Details still unclear. Thoughts, prayers appreciated”.
Nonetheless a TMZ report said that Eric Chase Bolling died from a drug overdose. The news of the teenager’s demise comes while his father is embroiled in a major controversy. He allegedly sent lewd text messages to co-workers. It was just confirmed on Friday that Fox News was parting ways with Eric after 10 years and cancelling his show The Specialists.
Fox News Channel said in a statement said “We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Eric Bolling’s son…Eric Chase was a wonderful young man and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bolling family.” While Fox is also cancelling the program Bolling hosted, the channel is reinstating Charles Payne, a host who had been suspended while the network had investigated charges of sexual misconduct.
