Eid al Fitr is all set to be celebrated on Sunday in much of the world. The Shawwal moon has been sighted and so the first day of the Eid will be celebrated on 25th June.
The news of moon sightings have come from much of the world. Saudi Arabia has announced that Eid will be celebrated on Sunday. This means that Eid al fitr 2017 in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, USA and much of the world be celebrated today.
But many people in South Asia will be celebrating the Eid on Monday. Shawwal moon hasn’t been sighted in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and many other nations in this part of the world. So Eid al Fitr 2017 will be celebrated in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh on Monday.
There is no denying that Ramadan 2017 tested the resolve of the devout believers who fasted from daybreak till the sunset and stayed away from eating and drinking anything. Besides, despite being drained by evening they spent hours praying in the evening and then late in night for Tahajjud.
