Despite the fact that it was not the State of the Union Address, President Donald Trump’s presidential address to the Congress has divided both his admirers and supporters.
While his admirers claim that Donald Trump mellowed down to such an extent where he looked a copy-cat of President Barack Obama, whom he criticized day and night on the campaign trail, his opponents claim that he didn’t mellowed down enough.
Notwithstanding this criticism from both the left and the right, President Trump has won a few admirers for walking cautiously. These newfound supporters claim they never expected to see such a soft persona of the former reality star so soon.
Trump spoke to Congress on February 28 in a joint session that was his first unofficial “State of the Union” address. Trump dwelled on many contentious issues including the immigration, health reforms, besides many others. He was rather vague on many issues and conciliatory on many others.
