Soul singer Cuba Gooding Sr. has reportedly died. Cuba Gooding Sr., who was known for his music in the mid seventies was reportedly found dead in his car near Woodland Hills. He was 72.
Cuba Gooding Sr reportedly died in mysterious circumstances as he was found dead in his car very close to Woodland Hills. Cuba Gooding Sr is the father of well-known actor Cuba Gooding Jr.
Reports claim that Cuba Gooding Sr who despite being 72 had an otherwise good health was found slumped slumped over the wheel of his Jaguar in 22100 block of Ventura Boulevard about 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Till now, nothing suspicious has been found regarding his death despite rather surprising circumstances in which he was discovered. LAPD officials are of the view that till now there was no sign of foul play, though investigations are ongoing.
Los Angeles Police Department said that the investigations in the circumstances of his death have been given to Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
It is also said that medical staff who was called when the singer was found in his car, tried to revive him, but without success.
Rumors are doing the rounds that some alcohol and drug remnants were found in the musician’s car. The success came to him rather early in his career as the lead singer of The Main Ingredient and was known for hits including “Everybody Plays the Fool” and “Just Don’t Want to be Lonely.”
