Former Dancing with the Star and The Bachelor participant Chris Soules has reportedly been arrested following a fatal accident in which the driver of the other vehicle was killed. Reports suggest that Chris Soules fled from the accident after rear-ending a tractor.
Reports suggest that the former reality star not just rear-ended the truck but fled from the scene. He reportedly fled the scene while the victim was struggling for his life. Sheriff’s office claimed that the former reality star violated the Iowa code section 321.261(4), and it’s a Class “d” felony upon conviction.
A TMZ report while talking about the circumstances in which the former reality star was arrested said, “Police eventually found Soules at a residence but it took hours for them to get a search warrant … this according to KWWL TV. It will therefore be difficult for prosecutors to prove he may have been under the influence at the time of the crash since hours passed before he was spotted”.
In another update the TMZ said that Chris has just posted bond and will be released shortly”.
In the meantime police reports suggest that Chris was driving a Chevy pickup and rear ended a John Deere tractor, sending it into a ditch. The driver was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he died. Soules, a 36-year-old Iowa farmer, took TV viewers of the Bachelor franchise into his small-town lifestyle back home in Iowa on Season 19, and he later appeared on Dancing With the Stars.
In the meantime the reason behind the attack was not clear. A TMZ report said, “Soules is in court now for his arraignment. TMZ has obtained documents in which police say he was in possession of alcoholic beverage containers at the time of the crash. Soules was apprehended after witnesses near the scene of the crash ID’d him and called police.” However, officials have not confirmed that account. Soules appeared in court in a yellow jumpsuit at his court arraignment on April 25.
