Chicago: According to an Associated Press report, a young girl of just 15-years of age has been gang-raped in Cicago on Facebook Live. It has now transpired that the ghastly incident was watched on the Facebook live by several dozen people. Despite knowing as to what was happening to the hapless child, these people did nothing to stop the assault.

A Fox report while talking about the assault said that the police authorities came to know of the attack on the child when a wailing mother approached Superintendent Eddie Johnson. Initially they were not ready to believe what was being said, but the police, rushed to act when mother showed him screenshots of assault.

While talking to a television channel Eddie Johnson said, “Here’s what’s even more disturbing, more than the fact that they did this, there were so many people that saw it and didn’t pick up the phone to dial 911…That’s not right. It’s just not right.”

As soon as it became clear to the police officials that the assault had taken place, the officials asked the Facebook to take the video down after ordering a probe in the incident.

The 15-year old girl, whose name is being withheld by the ViewsHeadlines due to the fact that she was juvenile, had gone missing this past Sunday. She had gone to a nearby store but didn’t return to her Lawndale home. It was his uncle who somehow stumbled upon a Facebook Live video, live streaming the rape of the girl.

The police chief reportedly sympathized with the inconsolable mother. Johnson told a cable network, “I’m a father with two daughters, and I could see the pain in her face, and I want her to know that CPD is here to help you”.

In the meantime the girl has been found. She was apparently looking physically OK. The Tribune quoting the police officials said that the girl was found Tuesday morning walking four blocks from her home. Police said she appeared to be in “good condition” and was returned to her mother.
