Daytona 500, NASCAR’s by far the most important race is going to be very exciting for racing enthusiasts across the world. While the race is always very exciting, Chase Elliott’ being the part of it will make it all the better for his fans.
Coming true to the expectations of his fans and the racing enthusiasts, Chase Elliott did exceptionally well yesterday and has successfully qualified the pole for the Daytona 500. There is no denying that it was a scintillating performance by Chase Elliott.
The 26-year old was impressive throughout the qualifying round. Yesterday he came up with a single-lap speed of 192.872 miles per hour, good enough to again claim the top spot for the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports in this, the 59th running of the Great American Race. The Daytona 500 takes place next Sunday at 2 p.m. ET on FOX.
No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports have seen their stock rise recently. The 33-year old team, launched by Rick Hendrick, is one of stock car racing’s premier organizations. Till last season, the team has won twelve Monster Energy Cup Series owners and drivers championships, three Camping World Truck Series owners and drivers titles, and one Xfinity Series drivers crown, 240 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series victories, 26 Xfinity Series wins, and 26 Camping World Truck Series victories.

In the meantime, while talking after the win said, “This team definitely has a knack for these plate tracks as they showed with Jeff Gordon and then last year with here and Talladega…But that stuff doesn’t just happen by staying the same as everybody knows.” Elliott said he was proud that his team stepped up again this year.
Elliot went on to add, “Everyone is always trying to get better and make their cars better and faster; and the engine shop is always finding new things…So, I think that’s just proof that they’re improving with everybody else and taking that next step, which is really impressive.”
