A young couple, both in their teens are being held for killing the grandparents of the 17-year old girl. 17-year old Cassandra Bjorge and her 19-year old boyfriend Johnny Ryder are persons of interest for the authorities for cold blooded murder of her grandparents.
Authorities claim that both Cassandra Bjorge and Johnny Ryder were arrested for the murder of Wendy and Randall Bjorge. But before the police could arrest them, the teenagers tried to commit suicide and therefore got badly injured. Both of them were admitted in a hospital later.
Both the teenagers were reportedly badly injured in the process. The wounds were so deep that Cassandra Bjorge had to undergo surgery.
A report in The Sun claims that the aged couple, the grand-parents of the 17-year old girl, were found dead in their home in Lawrenceville, Georgia, by police just after midnight on Sunday. Their family members had asked the police to check about them as they hadn’t heard about them for around a week. Both were 63-years old and it is surprising how the teenagers were able to kill both of them without making much noise.
In the meantime Gwinnett County Police said they responded in the 1900 block of Furlong Run in Lawrenceville on Sunday for a welfare check after family members said they hadn’t been heard from in about a week.
Detective D.C. Smith, while talking about the entire incident said, “We decided to go back to the Bjorge home to do another welfare check…This time we did force entry to the home where we located Wendy and Randall Bjorge deceased upstairs in their home in an obvious homicide.”
Till now there have been no words from authorities about the modus operandi of the killings. While police have remained tight-lipped thus was, but made it amply clear that they were not shot. A TV station while reporting about the tragedy said that one of the victims was found in a bathroom and the other in a hallway.
Officials claim that when they were eventually able to enter the house after a hour-long standoff and find the dead bodies, they tracked Cassandra Bjorge and Johnny Ryder to an apartment complex, the Residences at McGinnis Ferry Apartments, on McGinnis Ferry Road in Suwanee. It is said that both the teenagers had barricaded themselves inside an apartment where Ryder’s friend lives.
Later the SWAT officers used a robotic device to enter the home and police discovered that the teens were injured. Police made entry to the home about 12:30 p.m. on Sunday and found Cassie Bjorge and Ryder in a bathroom.
A report in the AccessWDUN quoted a police officer as saying, “They were cutting wounds, they used at least one knife, we do not how severe their conditions are. When we made entry into the room, they were not deceased but were not conscious at the time”.
