Burnett Chapel Church, Antioch, Nashville shooting: Victims, suspect names, Photos

One person has reportedly died and at least seven people have been injured at the fatal shooting in Burnette Chapel Church in Antioch, Tennessee. The shooting incident and the subsequent reports of loss of life and injuries to many people have shocked not just Tennessee but the entire nation.

While the names of the dead and the suspect have been kept secret so far, the names of the people who have been injured in the shooting or are suspected to be injured have been doing the rounds. To be true, the names of the victims started appearing on local television stations started making rounds immediately after the shooting.

The Nashville Fire Department has been regularly updating the information on its Twitter handle about the shooting and how the department was dealing with the developing incident.

While the name of the shooter hasn’t been disclosed thus far, nonetheless local media outlets are describing him to be his 20s who was wearing a ski style mask. He has been injured, but no one is publicly saying as to how he sustained injuries. The shooter has reportedly been taken into the custody and is being treated in a local hospital.

Reports suggest that a woman lost her life in the mass shooting incident in a church in Nashville, Tennessee. Latest reports suggest that as many as 7 people have been injured in the shooting incident. Nashville Police Department on its Twitter handle has been updating the latest development in the shooting incident. The Nashville Fire Department said “this is a mass casualty situation…All of the wounded have been transported to area hospitals. The majority are older adults.”

Former pastor of the church Bill Hunter told the media that the minister, Joey Spann, and his wife, Peggy, were among those who were shot, Hunter said he heard, but he stressed that he could not confirm that information 100 percent, and authorities have not yet released any information on the victims’ identities or conditions. The church’s website says that Joey Spann is the church’s minister. He previously worked as a minister or youth minister at several churches, including Smith Springs, Vultee, Northeast, Shady Grove, Old Hickory, West Nashville Heights and Pasquo.
