Los Angeles: Bill Paxton, renowned actor and director’s death has come as a shock to his fans across the world. People were not ready for the shock that came so suddenly. He was 61.
A TMZ report, quoting sources close to the actor/ director, said Paxton died suddenly post operation. The report described his death as ‘sudden’.
Bill Paxton had acted in many memorable and very profitable films that are among all time greats. This include among others, The Terminator (1984), Weird Science (1985), Aliens (1986), Predator 2 (1990), True Lies (1994), Apollo 13 (1995), Twister (1996), and Titanic (1997).
The actor, despite being a Hollywood great was known as a family man. He was married to Louise Newbury for 30 years. He is survived by his wife and 2 children.
In a press release, the family says, “It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery….illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker…Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable.”
His death is being mourned by his fans across the world. Sandra Lee, in Facebook post said, “The wonderful Bill Paxton as passed. I am so sad. I loved his films, many times his presence in a movie trailer was the deciding factor of whether I would see the film or not. What a movie star and a great man. I will always be such a fan. Rest In Peace and thank you for gracing us with your talent!”
Bill Paxton cause of death was complication post heart surgery. A TMZ report said, “We’re told Paxton underwent heart surgery and had complications post-op and suffered a fatal stroke”.
