New York: Bill Paxton’s sudden death has shocked his fans throughout the world. Among the top of the line actors who had been part of many big budget and historic films, he suddenly passed away, leaving behind his grieving wife and two kids Louise Newbury. He was 61.
While his daughter is still not out of college, his son James, who merely two days ago celebrated his 23rd birthday is a budding actor. His wife of thirty years, with whom he famously said, he fell in love while on a London bus, is grieving the death of her illustrious husband. He was called a family man and the nicest guy in the industry, though he once said he liked playing villain.
A family spokesperson, while announcing his death said in a statement, “It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Bill Paxton has passed away due to complications from surgery. A loving husband and father, Bill began his career in Hollywood working on films in the art department and went on to have an illustrious career spanning four decades as a beloved and prolific actor and filmmaker”.
The celebrated actor, who starred in CBS’ new “Training Day” reboot, reportedly died during a surgery. While the family didn’t reveal the surgery type, it is being said that it was heart surgery that caused his death. The actor presently stars as Det. Frank Rourke on CBS’ “Training Day” alongside his son James. The drama premiered Feb. 2. It isn’t clear how the show will handle his death.
The actor had appeared in memorable movies like “Titanic,” “Apollo 13”, “Weird Science”, “Aliens,” “Edge of Tomorrow” and “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” He was nominated for an Emmy in 2012 for his role in the Western miniseries “Hatfields & McCoys,” and he was nominated for a Golden Globe four times (three of which were for his role on the polygamy drama “Big Love”).
