Bahubali 2: The Conclusion is the most expensive movie ever made in India. The film was expected to do well, but not many thought that it will become among the highest grossing films in the first weekend itself and will beat the biggest Bolywood film’s first weekend collection even in Hindi heartland too.
But this is what Bahubali 2: The Conclusion has done. Within the last three days, the Bahubali 2: The Conclusion box office collection has crossed Rs 500 crore mark.
There is no denying that in order to break S.S. Rajamouli’s magnum opus ‘ Baahubali 2: The Conclusion ‘ record, the Bollywood filmmakers will have to bring something new, something that hasn’t been seen in the Hindi cinema, the same way Bahubali 2: The Conclusion brought not just great acting, but great VFS work.
The film that has been released in multiple languages across the country, has seen the film’s Hindi version also do superbly. Reports suggest that the Hindi version of the film recorded the highest ever Monday collection at the box-office, without taking the cumulative figure of all regional languages. The film collected Rs. 40.75 crore on Friday, followed with a Rs 40.25 crore on Saturday (day two), Rs 46.50 crore on Sunday (day 3) and Rs 39 crore on Monday (day four), thus taking its total to approximately Rs 166.50 crore. It should be kept in mind that the best of the Bollywood films don’t really do that well on any Monday, particularly when Monday is no holiday.
In the meantime, in the first three days the Indian collection of the film was Rs 385 crore (gross) while it minted Rs 121 crore overseas over the first weekend. The business in US and Canada, Gulf and Australia has reportedly smashed all records. Not just that, if we include the collections of the previews, then the worldwide collection goes up to Rs 520 crore.
