Los Alamitos – If reports are to be believed, Amanda Jensen and Rick Moore were found shot dead in an apartment building in California. The two were discovered at Seal Beach in Las Alamitos, California.
The discovery of the two bodies left the entire town stunned as Los Alamitos Police Capt. Rick Moore was known to be a respectable police officer who earned his fellow officer and public’s trust over the years.
Reports suggest that the bodies of 49 year old Rick Moore, and 37-year old Westminster City Clerk Amanda Jensen were discovered in a Seal Beach apartment building. While official account is yet to emerge, there are reports that make the incident look like murder suicide.
According to Sgt. Michael Henderson, spokesman for the Seal Beach Police Department, police got a call around 7:20 p.m. Sunday from a woman in requested officers’ assistance, authorities said. The call was then disconnected.
It was well-known that the police officer and Jensen were dating but had broken up. Authorities claim that when the police arrived to the area, witnesses reported hearing several shots coming from an apartment in the 100 block of 7th Street. SWAT team responded for a “possible barricaded suspect”, residents were asked to remain indoors and not venture out. Later, police officials entered the apartment and discovered the two dead.
A report in the KTLA says that the two had lived together for about four months and “had a number of domestic disputes during that time.”
Reports suggest that 37-year old Amanda Jensen was the Westminster, California city clerk for 1 year and 10 months, assuming the position in October 2015. She worked as the assistant city clerk for Westminster for more than nine years before that and was responsible for holding elections and other important tasks in the city.
